A. W. Exley
A few things have happened since I last appeared on the Blog
Ring of Power. I had two short stories published in anthologies where 10% of
proceeds are being donated to no-kill shelters. They were a bit of a departure
for me as I ventured out of my steampunk world and created my own gargoyle
mythology. The two stories share the same world and mythology but have two
different sets of characters. One story is GOTHIC GWEN a YA paranormal story in
CQ Prime Time. The other story is THE QUARRY, which is definitely an adult
story in CQ After Dark. There is the potential for either to become a full
length novel as the stories are open ended, I just need to find the time!
Since certain characters in my head wouldn't be quiet
NEFERTITI'S HEART became a series called The Artifact Hunters. Book 2,
HATSHEPSUT'S COLLAR was released on November 15. Do you know how many times I
stared at my cover of Hatshepsut's Collar before I realized we had spelled
Hatshepsut wrong? Let me tell you, it was a lot! lol Having given my cover
artist an anxiety complex I have agreed all future books will have titles of
only 2 syllables or less ;) I'm currently writing book 3, called NERO's
FIDDLE.
I also have a YA steampunk novel that needs a light going
over before it's ready for release. So things are very busy in Middle Earth.
Plus Xmas is just around the corner, which happens in the middle of summer for
us and that's normally my time of year to relax in the shade with a stack of
books.
