As 2013 comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of the joys and triumphs of the year. To that end, we bring you the 2013 Blog Ring of Power Year in Review Giveaway Hop ! BRoP: Year In Review with Jennifer Allis Provost

It's the last Friday before Christmas! Yes, I know, you didn't want to be reminded. Sorry, I'm excited. So let's get this Friday started with another chance for the Blog Ring of Power giveaway.  So let's see what Jennifer has been up to since last we saw her: J.A.P.: Since my interview on BRoP, I have completed the sequel to Copper Girl, Copper Ravens . I've attached the cover, which was just revealed on November 20. Copper Ravens  is the second in a four-book series, and there is also a spinoff duology in the works that will focus on the main character's brother, Max Corbeau.   I've also been working on an time travel/urban fantasy set in Scotland, Gallowglass . It follows a brother and sister from America (Chris and Karina, respectively), both of whom are running away from their problems at home, and a man from the seventeenth century (the titular gallowglass) who was kidnapped by the fairy queen. BRoP, Year in Review with Ellen Larson

Welcome to another post of Blog Ring of Power's Year in Review! Today we have Ellen Larson up to bat. The three months since my guest entry on the Blog Ring of Power have been rewarding ones. The pre-press reviews for In Retrospect are in, and they are very generous. Publishers Weekly, the big guy on reviewing campus, gave me a starred review, saying "[A] carefully crafted whodunit . . . shifting timelines clearly notated in chapter headings and technological/theoretical discussions that readers can skim or chew over with equal enjoyment should make this speculative fiction mystery accessible to all closed-room murder fans." Three other major reviewers followed: "Cleverly structured mix of science fiction and mystery" -Booklist; "Twisty plot" -Kirkus; "Gripping" -RT Book Reviews.
