Blog Ring of Power Presents: Lisa Gail Green

It's Friday!!! And between the celebrations and pre-celebrations of the weekend and Cinco de Mayo let's check out our author of the week.

Please welcome Lisa Gail Green. She writes paranormal and fantasy. Look for the first novel in her DJINN series, THE BINDING STONE, available this Spring! She would most definitely have a werewolf for a pet if she weren’t allergic. To find out more about Lisa, check out her website, Paranormal Point of View.

Section #5: Words of Wisdom

BRoP: What tools are must-haves for writers?

Lisa: I would say aside from a computer, chocolate, a comfy chair, a support group, and a thick skin.
BRoP: Do you have any advice for other writers?

Lisa: Don’t give up! If this is really and truly what you want, what you NEED, then keep going. Keep learning, keep working, keep writing and reading, and keep trying. Perseverance is key.
BRoP: What do you feel is the key to your success?

Lisa: Ha! If there was an easy answer to that, I’d bottle it and sell it. I’m going to risk repeating myself here and say PERSEVERANCE.

BRoP: Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?

Lisa: Thank you from the bottom of my heart. All I want as a writer is to reach those that will enjoy my book and find meaning it, even if that meaning is a break from the real world. Also, don’t be afraid to contact writers. We love hearing from you!!!
BRoP: What are your current / future project(s)?

Lisa: Aside from the next two books in the series I have another series in the pipeline so to speak at Fuzzbom. WINGING IT is about a teenage boy who finds out he’s the basic equivalent of a fairy god mother. Like I said, I love torturing my characters. That was a FUN book to write. Very fast paced and full of heart. I’m also working on a few other things. I get teased by my crit buddies. “Oops we blinked and Lisa wrote another novel.” Ha, ha. That’s just the rough draft though. *sigh* if only it could come out perfect the first time, eh?
BRoP: Is there anything else you’d like to share?

Lisa: Thank you for having me here! This was fun and I hope your readers will enjoy it.
BRoP:  Thank you, we loved having you. :D

THE BINDING STONE: Tricked into slavery by the man she loved, the Djinni Leela has an eternity to regret her choices. Awakened in the prison of her adolescent body, she finds a new master in possession of the opal that binds her. But seventeen-year-old Jered is unlike any she’s seen. His kindness makes Leela yearn to trust again, to allow herself a glimmer of hope.
Could Jered be strong enough to free her from the curse of the Binding Stone?
